Disappointing long wait for meal and then when it came it was luke warm. Not the best night from The Carlton
Just had dinner with husband tonight a present for our wedding anniversary. Food was fantastic, service was very good. We were at a table next to the fire which was a lovely tpuch. Well done we will be back.
Hotel was lovely. Rooms were lovely and clean and very cosy. Every member of staff was so helpful and friendly with the exception of one member of staff who was very rude. The bar man that took our names and room number for breakfast. Think he needs to remember he is paid to look after customers and insure there happy. This man was not thinking of his customers...
Interior was nice, service was good sadly the most importantly the food was poor. Duck spring rolls were tiny (albeit a starter) and no way of knowing if there was actually duck inside. The main course - Turkey was dry, the stuffing could have been made from pillow stuffing, gravy was watery. The 2 courses were 10, I'd have gladly paid more for better quality.
Went there for a wedding and it was really fantastic.Room was lovely and clean, although the shower would be better if you could move it about. Few wee watery accidents. Breakfast was amazing and really well cooked. Could do with adding another toaster at busy times. Lovely staff always with a smile on their faces.Highly recommended.
